Holiday Office Closure

In observance of the Christmas holidays, Railroad Commission of Texas offices will be closed December 23-27. The offices will re-open at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 30 for regular business. LP-Gas Category F, G, I and J

Management Course

The 16-hour Category F, G, I, and J Management Course is a program of classroom instruction held monthly covering DOT cylinders, ASME motor/mobile fuel containers and the operations of a dispenser to fill tanks and cylinders.  Students receive both classroom instruction and observe live demonstrations for filling cylinders and containers.

Category F, G, I or J Certification Examination. The Railroad Commission's Category F, G, I or J certification examination will be offered during the course for those who need to take it. The examination is required in order to obtain a license. The cost is an additional $70.

Course Fees. The fee for the Category F, G, I and J Management Course is $150. 

Registration. The course is posted for online registration approximately one month before the class and students can register online and pay electronically. The online registration process includes a payment option.

Course Cancellation. A minimum number of participants is required to hold the course. If this minimum number is not reached, the course may be rescheduled later, and people who have already registered will be notified by phone. Please include a contact telephone number or e-mail address where we can reach you if the schedule changes. The course fee will be held until the course is conducted.

Location and Time. The course will be held in Austin, Texas, at the Railroad Commission's Alternative Fuels Training Center, 4044 Promontory Point. Class begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. each day. The examination will be given on the afternoon of the second day.
