Submitting Well Logs Online

RRC Digital Well Log Submission Webpage

When submitting a well log as part of a GW-1 application, rather than uploading the log as an attachment to the GW-1 application, you may submit the log online at the RRC Digital Well Log Submission webpage at http://webapps.rrc.texas.gov/dwl/. Please upload the emailed receipt received from submission to the GW-1 application and set the file type to “Well Log”.

IMPORTANT: When submitting a log online with the RRC Digital Well Log Submission webpage, the well information must match the log header information on the well log. In other words, the well information entered is for the well log – NOT for the well of the GW-1 application for which you are submitting the log for.

When uploading a well log to the RRC Digital Well Log Submission webpage as part of a GW-1 application for an injection well, select the reasons for filing “Groundwater” and “UIC-permitting”.

Well logs already on the RRC Public GIS Viewer

If you are submitting a well log as part of a GW-1 application that is already available on the RRC Public GIS Viewer, simply upload a word document stating: “RRC Public GIS Viewer well log”, followed by the API number of the well. Set the document type of the uploaded word document to “Well Log” for the file type.
