Texas Westmoreland Coal Company Receives Coal Mining Reclamation Award
March 31, 2016The Railroad Commission of Texas has awarded the 2016 Reclamation Award to Texas Westmoreland Coal Company (TWCC) for their Jewett Mine DS E-11 Civil Structure. The civil structure describes TWCC’s implementation of general geomorphic reclamation principles in stream channel restoration at the Jewett Mine. The award was presented to TWCC by Chairman David Porter, Commissioner Christi Craddick and Commissioner Ryan Sitton on March 29, 2016.
