New Year’s Day Holiday Schedule

In observance of the New Year holiday, the Railroad Commission of Texas will close at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and remain closed through Friday, January 2, 2026. Normal business operations will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026.

The Abilene office of the Railroad Commission of Texas recently moved to 1969 Industrial Blvd, Abilene, Texas 79602. The new telephone number is 325-692-0404. The new fax number is 325-692-0273.

The Abilene office serves Oil and Gas Division district 7B. This district encompasses the following counties: Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Coryell, Eastland, Erath, Fisher, Hamilton, Haskell, Hood, Jones, Lampasas, Mills, Nolan, Palo Pinto, Parker, San Saba, Shackelford, Somervell, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor, and Throckmorton.
